Pass Christian suspect faces kidnapping charges | Crime

A reported kidnapping and beating has resulted in the arrest of 41-year-old Shawn J. Hilton of Pass Christian, according to the Harrison County Sheriff's Department.

Deputies said, they received a call about a kidnapping around 2:34 p.m. Monday from a business on Menge Avenue in Pass Christian.

The victim involved in the alleged kidnapping reportedly showed up at the business claiming he was kidnapped and beaten. When deputies arrived they said the man had injuries that included binding marks around his hands and neck. The victim told deputies who the suspects were and where they were. He also told officials that his girlfriend was located at Hilton's home.

When deputies arrived they didn't find the girlfriend but, she was found safe an hour later. The victim was taken to Gulfport Memorial Hospital for treatment. This investigation is still ongoing.

Hilton was taken to the Harrison County Adult Detention Center under a $200,000 bond set by Judge Brandon Ladner.
